Guided by our corporate philosophy of kyosei, the Canon Group has been conducting global environmental conservation activities. One of these activities is our Global Green Procurement Program (hereafter referred to as "Sustainable Procurement"), in which procurement and purchasing of environmentally friendly materials, parts, and products are prioritised, and when necessary, resources are procured and purchased to reduce Canon products' environmental impact throughout their lifecycle. Your products contribute to Canon's product offering and its customer relationship.
Chemical substances in products and packaging of electric and electronic equipment are highly regulated worldwide. Thus, compliance with these regulations is essential to maintain access to global markets.
This questionnaire is designed to assess and ensure your company has implemented systems that assure legal compliance with these regulations. Compliance is a critical condition for doing business with Canon. Therefore, to ensure ongoing compliance and undisrupted supply, Canon considers it essential that its suppliers operate effective systems to control the following key areas:

- Identification of and compliance with relevant environmental laws and regulations
- Implement measures to prevent pollution of soil, groundwater and surface water during the manufacturing and distribution of products, and delivery of services.

The environmental impact resulting from the intentional or unintentional presence of chemical substances in products and packaging delivered to Canon:
- Identification of and compliance with relevant product laws and regulations
- Monitoring of chemical substances in articles and complex objects throughout its manufacturing processes and upstream supply chain
